Much like portable spas, portable swim spas usually come fitted with electric in-line heaters. Depending on the size of the swim spa, these heaters are usually between 3kW-6kW. There are, however, alternative heat sources that may be used but these are typically more appropriate for custom made swim spas that have separate plant equipment spaces. Alternative swim spa heating can take the form of gas heaters, oil heaters or very efficient air to water heat pumps.
