Starlike is a two part acid-resistant epoxy mortar which is ideally suited to glass mosaic in pool and spa environments. With 24 colours across the Classic and Glamour collections you’ll find it easy to find a complementary epoxy to your chosen SICIS glass mosaic. For those looking for something a little different, Starlike offers 5 additional finishes in their Metallic collection.
For the grouting stage it is possible to add a Starlike Finish to add another dimension to the Classic or Glamour collection colours. Galaxy is an additive that will create a metallic effect to your chosen colour whilst Spotlight and Gold will add a silver or gold glitter effect respectively. Some colours may also be chosen with a photo-luminescent Night Vision additive which after exposure to light will emit a blue colour for a few hours after the evening draws in.
The grout finishes above are great choices for opaque glass tiles but there’s another finish available for grouting transparent glass mosaics. Starlike Crystal is a grout made with small glass bead aggregate allowing the product to absorb the colour of the transparent glass tiles to give a more continuous aesthetic to the finished hot tub. With a neutral tone, the joints will take on colouring of any transparent tile colour. If the same crystal finish is desired but for use alongside an opaque mosaic, Starlike ColorCrystal can achieve tone-on-tone grouting after finding the most suitable colour combination, further enhancing the mosaic itself.
