With original works in stone and marble, SICIS opened a glass studio in Murano (Venice) in 1993 and it is this initial seed that led to the development of a world renowned reputation as a leader in 100% Italian made glass mosaics that bejewel the pool and spa industry. Returning to our custom hot tub focus, SICIS have many types and style of glass mosaic to really set your hot tub apart. Tile shapes include traditional squares in addition to barrels, ovals, diamonds and flower shapes, all of which can be used in full or in part of your custom hot tub. A natural stone finish with a band of glass tile can make for a striking contrast. Colour choices from SICIS touch every band of the rainbow from red to violet with a variation of hues in each blend to break block colour uniformity and add interest. Many glass tiles also offer texture, metallic backing or iridescent tones that create further visual appeal particularly when used in wet environments such as custom mosaic hot tubs. The design possibilities with SICIS are endless. Whilst there is a very large range of glass mosaic colours and blends, Aegean are able to work with SICIS to design a custom colour blend to pick up on several accents within your overall spa interior design scheme. Contrasting tiles may also be used to highlight step or seat details. For those wishing for an even higher level of bespoke hot tub finishing, SICIS can incorporate mosaic artwork such as flora and fauna or freeform designs. Corporate clients may wish to have logos or other brand identifiers incorporated into the hot tub design.
From a price perspective, Aegean understand that there are lower cost glass mosaics available than those manufactured by SICIS, however, for all of the reasons stated above, SICIS remains our recommendation. Where there are particular budgetary constraints, SICIS offer a number of limited availability blends that offer great value. The Fenix Mosaic Lab blends are produced from surplus stocks but still offer the same quality and beauty as any other SICIS tile collection. Nearly all Fenix blends have sufficient stock quantity for the build of a custom hot tub and many have the stock to continue the mosaic theme throughout smaller home spa developments.
